10/We can't support #AssistedSuicide if everyone, regardless of income, disability, race, gender, etc., lacks access to all treatments that would be clinically indicated. That has to be the first step. Disabled lives matter, & they include every demographic. #DisabilityJustice #DisabilitySky

9/If healthcare parity doesn't exist but an #AssistedSuicide bill became law, that parity would be much less likely. Insurers aren't required to cover any medications or treatments so a person can live & are allowed to only cover #PAS. It's been done. Those are lives that shouldn't have been lost.

8/We've had many members of our community be told that although our healthcare system is not providing adequate treatment for people who want to live as for those who are said to want #PAS, we can "walk & chew gum at the same time." No, & that idea is dangerous, because...

7/Through our legislative advocacy, we've learned that many people who are otherwise pro-equality & progressive do not consider or engage with #disabled people & orgs to understand the perspective of the group directly impacted. #DisabilityJustice

6/Our community is diverse & vibrant, talented, but not here for inspiration. We deserve the same rights & healthcare as people who aren't disabled. Disability affects all of us, & is the largest minority in the US. If you support #PAS, have you really engaged with the #disability community on this?

5/We know that the fascist in chief has said the #Disability community should be left to die. Ironic, as he is suffering from dementia, according to a family member who saw Fred Sr. go through it. #PAS is a form of eugenics--it's society's way of saying, "We don't want you; you're broken."
