Under a zero tolerance policy, the first Trump administration separated immigrant children from their families at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Data suggests separations are now happening all over the country, often after little more than a traffic stop.

ProPublica asked Moms for Liberty co-founder Tiffany Justice what percentage of kids she’d like to see in public schools: “I hope to get to zero,” she said.

Some at the Education Department agree — and are dismantling the agency from within.

More than 2 million oil and gas wells sit unplugged in the U.S., many leaking contaminants into waterways, farmland and neighborhoods.

Time and time again, oil companies have walked away — leaving taxpayers to pay for cleanup. Here’s how.

Oil executive Tom Ragsdale walked away from his old wells, making the pollution left behind the state of New Mexico’s problem. His tactics, however, are ubiquitous in the industry.

In October, ICE grabbed Maher Tarabishi.

He was a 24/7 caregiver for his disabled son Wael.

At the time of Maher’s detention, disability advocates warned that taking away Wael’s caregiver put his life at risk.

Wael died on Friday at age 30.

ICE caused his death.

They didn’t get to say goodbye.

It had been months since Wael Tarabishi seen his father. The family is calling on ICE to release Maher Tarabishi so he may attend his son's funeral.

This is 100% FALSE. Immigration judges do NOT play any role in issuing administrative warrants. They are generated and signed by ICE officers themselves. ICE’s own training materials say they can’t be used for a search of a home!

Here’s a blank warrant form. Note who signs it.

Stars & Stripes is a great paper.
📌URGENT: Trump's regime is trying to turn Stars & Stripes into state-run media.
I was the ME of S&S.

It's MANDATED BY CONGRESS to be an editorially independent paper that reports ON the troops FOR the troops.

Pentagon says it will ‘refocus’ Stars and Stripes content
The Pentagon suggested it would take over editorial decision making for Stars and Stripes, which has long retained independence under a congressional mandate.

This is true and the right political move would be defending immigration as a universal good.
There is no amount of increasing border enforcement or deporting people that will ever make the American right wing believe the border is being properly handled by a democratic president. Any compromise on this is just a signal that they can demand more & keep the issue live. Immoral, bad politics.
