pi5 running pihole and unbound. Took me a bit too long to get everything sorted due to user error - documentation seems like it was written for a flat network so there was some additional work involved. But the end result is simple and effective. Would recommend.

Data recovery on 20+ year old hard drives is fun. Found an old backup drive in a box in the attic, fully expected it to be dead (enclosure ports were) but it spin right up. Fun reminder of how cringy I was in HS lol

Moved my Ludus server into the 21st century finally using some recommended hardware from @badsectorlabs.com! Upgrade in rack footprint (and power) over the DL180gen9 it replaced, plus now I can run it without raising my office temp by 5 degrees and tripling the power draw on my UPS.

August 4th 2020-August 4th 2025! Rewalked the same route I did on day 1 of this crazy ride I’ve been on. Well over 100lbs down and still going strong!
