tiny correction: wacup isnt a fork but more so a reimplementation of winamp 5.666's plugin API, which expands and fixes it in places

post-AOL winamp more or less went through this, i wasnt exactly "there" during the AOL era but i always got the impression it was still usable even if it came with modern skins by default

no it's llama group forcing a label on something that's not even right, considering they've tried and failed to push forward their spotify clone (also called winamp), hence them slapping the "Legacy player" on winamp

they own the IP and can do whatever want but it still isnt right lol

seeing winamp be referred to as "Winamp Legacy player", and while that may be true from the perspective from llama group, it is still funny and yet hurts so much
