I wrote to my Daniel Zeichner MP who asked Darren Jones MP; "All platforms are assessed against the high standards for digital safety set out in the Government Communication Service (GCS) SAFE framework."

The paper synthesizes light curves to get training data for its wavelet classification problem: null/transient/pulsating/transient. The possibility of doing that kind of simulation would limit application to other domains as far as I can see.

Not sure 'just dropped' is quite right: the paper in the Astronomy Journal was November 2024.

They compare (a) English-language novels by South Asian descent authors, (b) English translations of S. Asian fiction, & (c) English translations of French/German literary fiction. Roughly: is (a) more like (b) or (c)? It's then the detail that's carefully presented & fascinating. @tedunderwood.com
