Leaving aside Greenland and Venezuela for a second, if a “less developed” nation than the USA was set to host the World Cup in six months time and had goons caught on camera executing members of their own public, there would be calls for more than just boycotts. They’d want the host(s) changed.

FIFA awarding Trump with the made up “Peace Prize” will go down as the most blatant example of sportswashing in history.

Ronaldo becoming buddy buddy with a bunch of corrupt billionaires is honestly not surprising.

Once you accumulate a certain amount of wealth and fame, you become “part of the club” and suddenly none of the rules apply to you.
Cristiano Ronaldo has avoided a suspension for the start of next summer’s World Cup after FIFA handed the Portugal captain a three-match ban, with the final two games suspended for “a one-year probation period”.

I like Garnacho but if Napoli still want to pay up for him in the summer then I think there’s a deal to be made there.

Use that money to invest in someone like Cunha and/or someone younger like Mikey Moore.

Havertz is the epitome of an Arsenal player. He’s easy on the eye, very intelligent — but ultimately he’s not a killer. He isn’t a starting 9 calibre player for a side with title hopes.

Just the €172m spent on Man City’s three substitutes today. God only knows how Pep has summoned the courage to march on with this bruised and battered squad…

Amad is the real deal. Technically consistent, high IQ decision maker, proficient in tight spaces, long distance progressor, shields the ball incredibly well for his size. What’s not to like? Oh. And let’s not forget the big game moments too.

@hemmenkees.bsky.social @amoniz.bsky.social I’m gonna need you guys to put some respect on Amad’s name 😉

Bruno won’t be in the long term plans of Amorim. His inability to operate in tight spaces makes him severely limited in this system.
