I was outraged the Democrats “caved” & ended the shutdown. I’m still pissed we didn’t get an extension of the A/C/A.. Lawrence O’Donnell, who worked in senate, explained what the Democrats did get from compromising. Republicans wanted a clean bill with no compromises.

The Democrats who voted with the Republicans to reopen the government aren’t up for reelection in 2026 This is a take off on the expression politics makes strange bedfellows.

Here’s the list of the Senators who voted with the rep to reopen the government: Dick Durbin (IL) Durbin is retiring. Jeanne Shaheen ( NH) will not be running in midterms, leaving an open seat in a purple state. The other Senators are not up for reelection in the mid terms.

Once the government shutdown is over, will the speaker swear in the duly elected representative
Adelita Grijalva? Will some republicans then decide to take their names off the petition to release the Epstein Files? I don’t trust any republicans anymore.

Do the Democrats who voted to reopen the government honestly believe the Republicans will come to the table in good faith to talk about the Affordable Care Act when they’ve been trying to get rid of it since it passed? Let’s get real

After the blue wave on November 4 when aside from having good candidates, the voters thought the democrats had gotten their spine back. Guess not. We can go without healthcare but please republicans don’t mess with our air travel!
November 10, 2025 at 2:48 AM
This is unfucking believable! No healthcare. People will have a choice between healthcare or food. What were the democrats thinking?

REMINDER: President Biden NEVER cut SNAP payments, never even had a government shutdown.

In fact, he cut child poverty in half.
He cut child hunger, too.

I miss having a REAL President.

The Democratic Party cannot be a “one size fits all..” What works for NYC may not be right for Trenton, N. J. Candidates will only get elected if they listen to the people. And people always vote their pocketbooks.
