Israel has killed more journalists in the last 22 months than were killed worldwide in the preceding three years. Now we add 6 more to that total.

Seeing a lot of coverage about the U.S. and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation’s deadly aid sites, but no coverage so far that mentions that GHF’s exec chairman, Johnny Moore, is the former assistant to Jerry Falwell, the father of Christian Zionism
The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) has received tens of millions from the U.S. to distribute aid in Gaza.

Since it started operations, the number of locations in Gaza where residents could receive aid has plummeted from around 400 to four sites.

As Gaza faces a humanitarian catastrophe, Palestinian journalists are among those being deliberately starved.

CPJ urges global leaders to act now: to protect the Palestinian press, ensure accountability, allow international media access, and finally allow them to eat and rest.

An update! The Air Force has now announced $53 million in planned barracks improvements at Andersen AFB following our coverage of the poor conditions service members are living in there.
I think it’s worth noting that the same dire barracks conditions that prompted the Navy Secretary to evacuate sailors and Marines did not elicit the same response from the Air Force: 430 airmen and soldiers continue to live in these barracks.

Incredible investigation by my colleagues @ziembavision.bsky.social and Julienne McClure analyzing publicly available CBP data to show, despite rhetoric from politicians trying to create a link between migration and a drug crisis, that only 11 people out of 5.8 million were caught carrying fentanyl.
Out of the 5.8 million migrants stopped by Border Patrol during a three year period, only 11 were caught carrying fentanyl.

Our new investigation for @pogo.org shows just how INCREDIBLY RARE it is for migrants to bring drugs across the border.

To put it another way, the odds of dying from a bee sting are FAR greater than the odds of Border Patrol finding a migrant carrying fentanyl across the border.
