Someone needs to make a Final Destination video game where you play as Death and design elaborate traps for victims, but if you fail to kill the NPCs it’s systemic, they learn from your previous traps and warn other NPCs or create new death escapees.

The latest episode of The Studio is such a great riff on Gaspar Noe’s Climax.

Been asked to curate a very small film book section & so far, I have a list that's 2 pgs long in size 10 font & my bed is ready to collapse from the weight of my books. Yes, I have a problem, lol. To me, the coolest cinephiles are the ones who admit they don't know everything & dig learning more.

Pretty amazing that nonprofit Watch Duty -- which says it has 150 volunteers working around the clock to track wildfires -- has become the most trusted source of information on LA fires. Operated by retired/volunteer firefighters, dispatchers, and reporters. Real people.

Managed to slip out with the family tonight to a chain restaurant. Five tired and hungry firemen in next booth, clearly appreciative of a free dinner offer. I hope no fireman ever pays for a meal again in LA, they are going through Hell for us. Deepest thanks to you all!!
