I recognize that this is mainly absolute nonesense but one underappreciated effect of AI's generative capabilities like AI song covers is that it gives us a better feeling for which songs might be better than we give them credit for

What's really strange is not the ad itself. It's that someone thought "Let's advertise someone who is fully isolated and talks to a machine because there is no human being around, that's going to make people want to be like him" and actually got this through internal processes.
just saw the worst gaming ad ive ever seen

@ckhead.bsky.social & @thierry-mayer.bsky.social‬ argue that the recent estimate of an equivalent 45% tariff in intra-EU costs is likely too high & vastly overstates the barriers which could be lowered due to Commission policy decisions.

Wondering whether this is already enough for a malpractice lawsuit because you are clearly in pain, the diagnosis is obvious, and yet you receive a misdiagnosis with considerable consequences to yourself
a few months ago I said "having generative AI handle absolutely anything with regards to healthcare is a nightmare and should be banned" and a bunch of people made fun of me and called me stupid. anyways,

because, if it were left to the member states, they would use the regulation of lawnmowers as a non tariff barrier inside the EU. A lot of EU legislation in the field of product regulation is first and foremost motivated by the functioning of the common market.

This statement by the man who could well become the next president of France is symptomatic for the deep ignorance of the European project that permeates our society. The EU does not regulate the noise of lawnmowers out of some bureaucratic meddlesomeness, but /

My god, I binged The Last of Us S1 in a few days and it was one of the by far best seasons I've seen in a while and now I binged S2 and ... I have so many questions. Who okayed this? This is dreadful.

Legit wanting to hear from married men and I know for a fact that I know more than one or two on here. Just let me know if your ring has a stone or not, folks, I'm really interested either way.
If you're a man and you have a wedding ring: do you have a stone in it? If so, what kind?

Currently wondering whether the fact that the expression "No one can want that" which is rather popular in german is more prevalent here because it is the second criterium of Kants categorical imperative (1. Can I think it? 2. Can I want it?). How's your day going?

Still flabbergasted by the fact that when Japan was starting trading with the west they started communicating mainly in dutch and I have to keep imagining some serious Samurai and the Shogun going "Hallo, mag ik een lekkere frikandel? Ik wil graag appelkoekjes, ik spreek Nederlands"

Finally started watching The Last of Us. It definitely is really good. Watched the first 3 episodes and episode 3 knocked me off my feet, one of the best TV episodes I have seen. How is this on IMDB one whole rating point beneath E1 & E2?! At 8,2 points?! That's nuts.

One thing that annoys me like hell is when subtitlers translate metrics. Like, there will be a mention "10 km outside Boston" and then the subtitles go "16km outside Boston". No dude. That's not what's meant. Just use Miles, we're Europeans, we have an education. We know what they are.

Recently "refactored" someone elses code for which he swore it needs a 32GB machine to a size where it only needs an 8GB machine or less.
I don't even want to call it a refactor because all I did was delete every instance of the guy creating a new copy of the same data and just make the code 1/
