A minor incident in today’s shitstorm, but… Yesterday, ICE raided a Latino area in Morristown, NJ with which I’m quite familiar. This community has many small businesses, and is friendly, family oriented, and law abiding. A high school senior with a 4.2 GPA was among those detained.
Disgusting.

Sure, the House voted to release the files. And so will the Senate. And what happens next is that Pam Bondi will withhold some or all of them anyway, claiming her active investigation prohibits their release. This was trump’s plan all along, and why he suddenly approved the vote.

If only Nancy Pelosi could be Senate minority leader! This situation sucks, and so does Chuck Schumer.
If Chuck Schumer was a stronger leader, he would have been able to convince most of these senators to hold the line.

Thomas had better consider that it would be hard to justify this rule reversal without applying the same reasoning to interracial marriages.

RIP, Dick Cheney. It’s so revealing that the VP once called Darth Vader due to his Iraq war lies, his declarations of a unitary executive, and his usurping of power from his own President is now, by today’s standards, a revered “traditional” Republican.
