finished the Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined demo, i liked it a lot!!
it's just a shame the Switch 2 phys release is gonna be a game key card instead of a real phys edition....

since i'm playing the franchise in order, it's the next one i'm supposed to play, so i'll have to determine how much the upgrade is worth the cash considering i have the original remake on 3DS

exploring Kyrat is great, the weapons and vehicles feel SO GOOD and the story is surprisingly engaging

i definitely rated the game too high. now that more time has passed and im not feeling the recency bias as hard i would lower it to a 7 i think

huge improvements over SV. new combat system is great, characters and story are really fucking good, banging OST, new megas are (mostly) rly good, fun progression and gameplay loop
i wish they put some fucking effort into visuals

one of the coolest things abt Angel's Egg is that when i watch it its very easy to recognise how it was a massive aesthetic influence in a ton of games i love. hollow knight and soulsborne games especially
