The #NoMouse Challenge is a global effort to raise awareness about accessible web design. Try using your website without a mouse. Use the keyboard instead. Is it possible to access all features and operate all buttons, sliders, and other controls?

Despite it's limitations (small sample and self-selected participants), I find this analysis of ProtonDB data very interesting.

Tendencies seen here tend to later have a reflection on the Steam Hardware Survey

KDE currently has 3 Linux distro projects!

- KDE Neon. the old showcase, based on Ubuntu LTS

- KDE Linux. New showcase, now in alpha, immutable based on Arch.

- KDE Neon Core. Remember the all-Snaps Desktop that was going to be ready by 2024? That, but with Plasma.

I miss something with NixOS

Much like humans, CPUs heal in their sleep.

CPUs are *technically* replaceable / wear items. They don’t last forever.

Yet, the moment stress is removed, transistor degradation (partially) reverses.

It's called Bias Temperature Instability (BTI) recovery:

There's a Tiktok video of DJ Dave, making electronic music live with a textual interface. (Some say it's the Linux terminal, but it's not)

She uses a Live Music Programming language called Strudel

I just read someone say "$distro is based on Debian, so it's very stable".

I find that logic very funny, because during the Linux Live CD fever, there were new distros based on Debian every few days, and many didn't survive an apt dist-upgrade without breaking.

Some virtues aren't inherited.

Use #xlsx2csv

When an open source project needs ongoing work from maintainers (eg review issues, PRs) that needs to be done forever - is it fair to ask for companies making money from this project to pay for this time?

I think it's sensible, reduces noise and appreciates maintainers' time.
