I was skeptical of the “X is slowly cooking your brain” discourse because I don’t think my ideological worldview has shifted much, but having now experienced both Bluesky and X I think the big difference is I got used to fighting/provocation as the standard “tone” of posting without realizing it.

The amount of times I've heard people (i.e well-paid management) say things like this. 'There is no work ethic in this country anymore, I work blah/blah hours a week'. They don't think of all the privileges their wage affords them, like, you know, being about to put the heat on.

Morning all! Wishing you a peaceful Friday. It feels so easy to despair, but take heart that good people are also in the world. It certainly helps me to see so many genuine, kind people on here. So much easier too weed out than the other place. Thank you for caring for the planet and its people.

My friend, who has terminal cancer, was left to wait 9 hours in A&E, no one around her masked, she masked despite it being boiling hot and having breathing difficulties. What are we doing to people?
This is horrifying
This week I had a scan at the cancer hospital. Cancer hospital foundation employees were not wearing masks, most patients were. I’m left wondering… who is the cancer hospital foundation for? What is their stated purpose?
