Saw the Trump-Vance-Zelenskyy meeting coverage and I was cringing and embarassed as to how thuggish and hostile Rump was acting and the words he was using. I cannot believe a sitting President thinks this is appropriate diplomacy.

Winter is a time of restoration. All of nature pauses and we are not separate from it. If you feel low on energy, champing at the bit that you're not active enough, doing enough, lethargic, feeling lazy...take a deep breath. Pause. It's ok to snuggle down deep in yourself, wait out the cold ❣️

It's a family joke that us cousins are incapable of dabbling in "hobbies." Everything is intense, obsessive pursuit till standards of competence are satisfied. Interestingly, this manifested in individual behaviour before being realized as a collective family trait 🙂

Your writing must come from a place of authenticity, especially in poetry. Even in fiction, even if what you write isn't your lived experience, it should still move YOU as the writer. Otherwise, how can you expect it to move the reader?
