Building the future of healthcare @ Noom, Vitamin Z | Community leader, NYC in LA | Formerly @ Harvard, Yale Med, GLG, McKinsey
I went for a run in Golden Gate Park and came across this art installation by The Nature Conservancy. It invites visitors to explore two future Californias—one where California has invested in nature, and another that leaves nature behind.

Evacuated from LA to San Francisco. Grateful to be here among friends. But I was conflicted about leaving LA. I wanted to do more to support volunteer relief efforts.

I’ve been inspired by the outpouring of community support I’ve seen in LA…

In non-fire news, I just watched the new medical drama THE PITT, which premiered yesterday on Max - and I loved it!! (Disclosure: my uncle is a writer/producer).

Anyone who loved ER will love this, too. It's a fast-paced, high-octane drama with humor and heart…

Misremembering: It’s one of the biggest tools you can have as a writer. Your brain tends to create a narrative of the past that is more interesting than what actually happened. So misremembering is your friend!

Da Vinci, the new PBS documentary by Ken Burns, is excellent. The accomplishments of this artist, scientist and engineer - the original renaissance man - are stunning. I loved learning the backstory behind legendary works of art like The Last Supper and Virgin of the Rocks.

TURDUCKEN 2.0: What’s the next step for Thanksgiving chefs who want to take this classic dish to the next level?

-stuff a quail inside the chicken (Turduckenail)

-stuff the whole thing inside a goose (Goosturducken) definitely

What else?

ALIGNMENT: I just read the spec script that sold for $3 million w/ major Hollywood buzz.

Written by an unknown writer, it generated a huge bidding war.

A story of tech leaders battling for control of a brilliant but unpredictable AI.

Fast-paced, fun and the topic could not be more timely.

Fellow New York writers, I’m thinking about hosting a Susbtack reading party in NYC the week of Dec 9. Who’s down?? 😌

Be the weirdest version of yourself.

Why?

Most conversations are boring. By being the weirdest version of yourself, you filter out the boring conversations and only get into talks with people who resonate with you and your unique vibe.

We need a Goodmanosphere: A place for men to build community where strength and vulnerability coexist. Where men can embody integrity, compassion, and leadership without resorting to dominance or anger.

Positive masculinity doesn’t reject traditional traits - it redefines them for the common good.

Being an artist doesn’t mean being broke all the time. The internet provides more ways to make money from your art than ever before in human history.

It's time to ditch the starving artist mentality. You can make art and earn money doing it, too.

“A Real Pain,” the new film directed by Jesse Eisenberg, is a triumph. The story of cousins who go on a Holocaust tour in Poland, it touches on family, Jewish life and intergenerational trauma. It’s funny and poignant with great acting, including a fantastic star turn by Kieran Culkin.

If TiKTok had been around in Einstein’s era, he could have published his groundbreaking theory of relativity, but unless it was accompanied with a funny GIF or meme, or promoted by influencers, the result would be crickets.

A friend suggested I create a Bluesky starter pack for my NYC in LA community (former New Yorkers living in LA).

I didn't have a Bluesky account, but was curious to learn more, and so now I'm here!

It seems like starter packs are a good way to find and quickly follow a group of people. Any tips?
