Football is a small sample size game with a heap of variables that are hard if not possible to capture or properly measure
Advanced statistics have their place in this arena, & have much more value than your classic “yards per game/total points/etc”
But there is no perfect stat in football

Weaponized advanced statistics that are only designed to prove a preconceived bias against a player/team are ruining football and relationship fans have with the sport. You don’t look smarter than everyone…you just look petty and desperate for attention

The decline of the Commanders offense since Jayden Daniels' rib injury is much smaller in DVOA than in EPA because
a) EPA in the first few games was inflated by luck
b) opponent adjustments
WAS offense had 18.5% DVOA in Wks 1-7 and 14.2% DVOA in Wk 8-11. Little change.
