You can always tell when a danmei novel release has been delayed or pushed back when you go on social media and no one has posted pics of their shiny new copies or ahhhh so excited posts.

We know Copper Coins just came out when the feeds are suddenly flooded with art for it 🤣. I'm actually curious if it has any other similarities to NanChan given the monk & dragon characters.

First week of classes: survived. Amount of vocab forgotten: too much. Summer break rest is nice but not keeping up with practice is pretty much the should-be-expected setback.

I kinda want to start reading Coins of Destiny while playing the Immortal Life game. They feel like they would go together. But another part actually wants to read NanChan. And why on Earth did Rosmei not translate the title of NanChan unlike every other danmei book they translated to English?

Going back to school feels like Autumn. So much so that I'm breaking out the pumpkin spice scones and Black Leaf's Chaider tea (which apple bits in it and reminds me so much of mulled apple cider) to wind down with today.

Finally the weekend starts, mad hell week part 1 is over. Three day weekend to get ready for part 2 and the start of class. Hoping to also clear the currently reading queue (4 books go!).

I think what I love about Riverbay Road Men's Dormitory is that it's the first danmei I've read where I felt I could actually connect to the characters as a mlm guy. I think it's the ourownvoices difference.

While part of me is holding out for a 6 guy polycule Riverbay Road feels like it's doing its hardest to keep you guessing about who (except the mc and the guy he's already dating) will end up with who.

Tried getting my Hua Cheng on this morning doing hanzi copybook pages with my old fountain pens. Discovered both old platinum preppys I own have somehow cracked. Too bad, they were really nice smooth affordable gateway pens. Replaced a broken nib on my noodler's ahab but now it's so scratchy.
