TOP 10 FAVORITE ANIME OF 2025
Another year wraps up and there was a ton of great anime. Looking back, it was really hard to pick only 10 shows for it and maybe some things would be different if I wrote this in a different day, but I like writing when I feel like it, and that's now.

Chou Kaguya Hime: I always knew I was going to love it, and yes, I loved it. Others can go over everything that makes this movie amazing better than I can. They'll know the pencils of every creator better than I do
But what I can say is how this movie understands and respects the culture it's about

Kinda hot take, but the difficulty options in the DQ7 Remake bother me a bit. I don't want these to be overly easy, but having to go over 15 options to intentionally nerf myself is also something I will never do
I know people like controll, but it makes the game look too much like a service for me.

I'm actually deeply in love with Urban Myth Dissolution Center. The story wraps up in such a fantastic way with the themes it's presenting. Even talking about them is a bit of a spoiler though, so I'll suffer alone thinking about how much I like this.

Perception of anime history is very distorted as some are too stuck on the idea of 90s/early 00s anime being more foundational than they actually are, based on the period when anime became more popular in NA and online

Idea Factory started getting fucked over by Nintendo like 14 months ago or so and I guess no pushback eventually got us here. A reminder that it was released on Steam and Playstation so this is a particular Nintendo thing.
