Our next welcome fair for new colleagues takes place on Tuesday 13 January at York Hospital 🏥

Drop into Classrooms 1 and 2, 5th Floor Admin Block, any time between 11.30am and 1pm.

The Dandelion Room is now open! 💛

Funded by York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity, it's a new calm space in York Hospital's Ward 36 for patients, families, and colleagues.

Christmas is one of the busiest times for our post rooms at York and Scarborough, with teams working flat out to deliver letters and parcels.

Star Award: Margaret Banas 🌟

After a 12-hour night shift, Margaret stayed over an hour to comfort and translate for a distressed patient in Resus. Speaking Polish, she explained treatment and offered reassurance, helping the patient feel safe and supported during a frightening time 💙

Star Award: Joanne Gill and Saffron Snowden 🌟

Joanne and Saffron went above and beyond to support a patient with hearing loss who was struggling to use their insulin pump. Their innovative approach and clear communication increased his confidence, helped his diabetes, and transformed his wellbeing.
