Yes to Life No to Mining (YLNM) is a global solidarity network standing up for the right to say NO to mining.

Another COP ends, exposing the true cost of the “green transition”: mining for “critical minerals” destroys ecosystems, poisons water, and harms communities.

Climate justice means stopping destructive mining and defending Indigenous rights.

On Saturday we concluded a week of work with the Thematic Social Forum on Mining and the Extractive Economy with an event at the People’s Summit at Belém do Pará.

We affirmed our collective commitment to a socio-ecological and systemic transformation that confronts the dominant “green” transition.

Today Ecuador votes.

"Yes" means military bases, billionaires-only politics, and an attack on the hard-won rights of communities and Nature.

"No" means no to regression. "No" means Life.

We stand in solidarity with our members in Ecuador who have fought so hard and for so long. La lucha continua✊

“Green” mining is the same old extractivism — destroying land, water and lives in the name of climate action.

At the People’s COP in Belém, members of #YesToLifeNoToMining from Chile, Indonesia and the Pacific are calling out #TheGreenLie - the myth that mining can solve the climate crisis.
