One of the aides here went around to every adult in the building and got them to sign a card for me and I maybe cried a little bit because that's so nice. And they all said nice things!

It is my birthday and my book club kids came in to sing to me and give me little gifts and cupcakes and the goofiest card (they are so weird and I adore them).
And not a single 6-7 reference has been made all day in here that I've heard!

Went to Friday Night Magic for the 2nd week in a row. Tonight we drafted Duskmourn which is a new-to-me set, so that was cool.
I lost every game but had a great time. Really like the vibes at Cantrip.

TIL that when you have a flight credit on Delta you have to use it BEFORE the expiration date and not ON the expiration date. For...reasons.
I would have thought that "must redeem by 9/30" meant it was redeemable on 9/30 because otherwise it would have said "must redeem before 9/30"

Today I played #MagicTheGathering for the first time in decades.
It was fun! I went to a prerelease event and played 2 headed giant. Both new things! And when I said I hadn't played in like 25 years people literally just said "welcome back."

Y'all, HR just emailed me telling me they've accidentally given me extra vacation days and they are taking them back and I am SO MAD.

Sitting outside in the sun for 15 or 20 minutes is really helping my mental state this week at work.
Also it allows me to warm up briefly after sitting in the icebox that is the library.
