Great thread!
A short thread on going beyond #NetZero to build projects that are #NetPositive

First, I like to talk about "Projects" vs "Buildings".

It's an important distinction, because its not just about the physical artifact, but also:

where it is located?
what does it replace?

Energy Efficient buildings that use less electricity in the first place - buildings that perform dramatically better than code minimum - are a crucial piece in the electrification of our US energy supply as well. #PassiveHouse delivers. #NetZero #LowCarbon #EnergyEfficiency
⚡️Energy efficient, smart enabled buildings are vital #NetZero infrastructure.

#energyefficiency, #demandflexibility and #energyjustice go hand in hand.

Ultimately it’s all about comfortable, safe buildings for all, which we can afford to run. 💶🌆

“Passivhaus is all about security and peace of mind, knowing that if the power goes out, the temperature doesn’t instantly rise or fall because your home is a giant thermal battery. It is a big thick security blanket wrapping you and your family.”
According to Sotheby's Real Estate, the hot design trend of 2024 is comfort, and the superrich are looking for "comfort, ease, and quiet luxury." But research shows that you get true comfort from warm walls, good windows, and fresh air, which is what you get from #passivhaus.
The hot design trend of 2024: Comfort
The superrich apparently are looking for "comfort, ease, and quiet luxury." Passivhaus delivers.

This time on the heels of COP29—> #fabricfirst #efficiencyfirst #passivehouse
A reminder ahead of COP28 --> the cheapest for of energy is the energy not used 💡

Buildings with good insulation, airtightness and ventilation radically reduce the operational energy. Passivhaus buildings constructed with biobased materials must be part of our fight against climate breakdown
