My aunt got it for us for Christmas 1993. She wanted to get us a Genesis because that's what our cousins had but we talked her into getting a SNES instead.

First time I tried Linux was in 1998. Friends convinced me to download Slackware over dial-up. Lasted about a day before going back to Win95.
Got convinced again in 2000. This time it was with Red Hat. Lasted a few days before going back to Win98.

2 weeks so far. This is the longest I've ever used Linux. No desire to go back to Windows. If I need to, I can just run a Windows in a vm.

I had to call home sick one day in 7th grade. Conveniently while I was borrowing Link's Awakening. Got to stay home and play it for a couple days while being sick.
Also played Metroid II around the same time. Both of these are my favorites.
