been obsessed with Fromsoft's games (the fantasy -or close enough- ones, in any case) since watching a DS1 playthrough on a whim forever ago now, but only ever as a, uh... passive consumer?

yeah everyone being locked into essentially the same personality (which creates problems for the devs too since NPCs like Yugiri or Fordola or Sadu basically can't use any of the emotes they're stuck with jfgfij) never sat right with me...

between Yoshi-P's comments and Halmarut (who i'm guessing is at least in part an 8.0 teaser) using (some) female Midlander animations we may get official animation swapping yet

believe it or not FFXIV is actually kind of my first fandom i'm an active participant in... the next closest thing would probably be spending my teenage years modding Warcraft III, but i was mostly using it to do my own thing... still left a permanent mark on my creative pursuits though even so...

i have others, but Minfilia/Faustine, Ysayle/Mikoto and Alisaie/Arya are probably the ones i've posed the most...
(only Faustine is an OC, and she's not even my WoL... Minfilia and Ysayle do get promoted to WoLs in this AU, though!)

Au Ra becoming available in the Free Trial was what got me to try the game out to begin with, even if their design ended up leaving something to be desired...

first i wanted bigger Au Ra tails, then to 'fix' the dimorphism by making the women taller (which unfortunately broke cutscenes) and giving them traits the males had that they were missing (i.e. blue mouths for Raen and dark sclerae for Xaela) since those were things that bothered me from the start

it's so frustrating they've skipped her 4!! times now!! at this point i'm just hoping hers doesn't get delayed into 8.0, since there's way too many NPC faces left and only one more major patch...

i don't talk about Minfilia and Faustine as much nowadays but they were basically all that kept me sane for a couple of years there... i love them, wish i could do more for them.....
