NWS and NOAA friends. Much conflicting information about London KY tornado warning. Who has facts? Everything from "no one was there" to "neighboring offices we're doing it" to "that evening was fully staffed" out there. Want to help set the record straight. Thanks!!

HAPPY TAX DAY!
How much would you spend on a year of tornado warnings? The average US taxpayer spends only $4 a year to help fund the NWS. It’s a smart investment—every $1 invested in NWS yields approx. $73 in social benefits.
🌪️❄️ Support science. Support the NWS.
Stay tuned for more this #TaxDay

@climatologist49.bsky.social Had a follower ask me the places in the US most affected by climate change. Feel like you'd have a good map of that somewhere. Can you help?

There is going to be a lot of severe thunderstorms over the next several day. Wednesday, April 2 could be the most concerning day of this very active stretch. Stay weather aware, especially as some areas will be seeing their third or fourth impactful day of the year.

A serious topic, but this did end up being a *very* funny episode as the goal became trying to make Brady laugh. And we did.

Friendly reminder, our government knows the value of weather data since it's the last & most important contingency in classified "plans", but they want the American people to not have that information and are defunding Noaa much to our demise. Cool, cool.
