IAN FLEMING adopted the name of the American ornithologist and expert on birds of the Caribbean - JAMES BOND, who died 37yrs ago today, aged 89 - for his fictional British spy ‘007’.

They met just once (below), in 1964, at Fleming’s Goldeneye retreat in Jamaica.

Larry the Cat is 19 years old. At times a brilliant scalawag, but always adored. Keep going strong, Larry ❤️🐾

15 years ago today I arrived on Downing Street in a cage.
I've seen off Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss and Sunak and I'm still going strong.
Only two Prime Ministers have ever done longer stints here: William Pitt the Younger and Sir Robert Walpole.
Bill and Bob - I'm coming for you...

Be the Grizzly.
😎
Franzi Schimmer captured this Grizzly bear in Brooks Falls, Alaska just floating along, tippy-tapping down the river, browsing the salmon.

Prior to hibernation, up to 40% of a bear's body mass is fat, which is less dense than water (~0.9 g/cm^2), so the murder-monster is also a floaty-boaty.

Driving around Denver, listening to the Beatles, saw this display on someone’s lawn (Sign “All You Need Is” with Beatles walking across crosswalk & big pink letters LOVE).

Whoa. Surreal & wonderful. Notice spray-painted crosswalk on lawn just like on album cover. #ValentinesDay #Beatles

My husband to me: "In scary times, I’d rather be with you than Rambo."

Great man. Great player. I also remember him being the sports reporter on a Los Angeles news station years ago (how lucky for us!).

Legend. #BillRussell #Basketball

Traveller outside, wearing her cone. Day after surgery & she’s doing pretty good. Eating well. Enjoying the sun. For next week or two, we keep the Rotties separate, but they can see each other.

If there’s anything this food-supply-chain era has taught me, it’s a deeper appreciation of good vegetables. Honesty, I oo’d & ahh’d over those brussel sprouts 😂

Attached this post as it resonates w/ hub & I. Our daughter & her wife won’t visit US (from Canada) b/c they’re scared US gov might detain them at border.

Son & wife won’t visit out of concern their humanitarian work in Syria might cause problems.

Like others, we share love in calls/texts/videos ❤️

We live in Denver neighborhood some old-timers call “Little Italy” from Italians moving here early 1900s. Some homes have lion statues (going back to lion protectors of Florence).

Fun history: Long-ago people in this house made red wine during prohibition, sold it to cops among others 🍷#History

Traveller had operation today to remove growth (other Rottie recently had similar procedure). Crazy coincidence they’ve both had it at almost same time.

Trav’s in post-op & doing well. We pick her up this afternoon ❤️

Pic of her smiling last summer (waiting for treat :).

USCIS has an office by mine in south Denver. They have a large parking lot full of brand new black Suburbans lined up. Looks like they are getting ready to ramp things up in Denver.

Every day when I log on to my computer, I watch my screensaver of a flyover (drone?) of an old Scottish castle and coastline. Peaceful way to start the day before the mishegas kicks in 😆 (Flyover is longer than this video clip.)

Woke up to lawyer's call that client doesn't like dress we picked out. Also wants sweater & new scarf. Didn't mention the shoes, but we're picking out another pair, just in case.

Me to hub, "Makes sense she's up on accessory to murder charges. How many more accessories does she want?"

Giving this a shot for dinner. Comments say it's easy & delicious. Adding carrots instead of sweet potatoes & 1/2 cup light coconut milk. They say it freezes well, too.

And instead of prepping spices, using "DAL" (at Rancho Gordo).

Today is the 5th anniversary of the release of the infamous #Lawyercat video, which I posted roughly thirty minutes after the start of the second impeachment trial. Who would have thought it would have such a lasting impact on the world! Happy Lawyercat Day for all who celebrate!
Happy #Lawyercat Anniversary for all who celebrate! It's been four years since the kitten appeared in my Zoom courtroom, and I released the 48 second video that made the whole world laugh. Here is the full video showing the big reveal at the end (in two parts because Blue sky). Enjoy!

Was Ovitz’s personal assistant in my early 20s. People talk about how frightening he was but we never exchanged an angry word.

Someone I haven’t spoken to in 20 yrs recently asked if I could get a script to Ovitz. Couldn’t believe they asked (uh, 20 yrs). In same way, haven’t spoken to him in yrs.

Huh. Well, he is Very Chill. Rarely gets worked up over stuff. Role model for the rest of us.
