Caught between joy at the high quality scientific investigation and sadness at the benthic devastation that's unfolded over on the North American Atlantic coast. Sometimes I wish ecological theory was just theory. #trophiccascade #regimeshift

European work travel is possible by train, bus and ferry. I've been living this for a couple of years; it takes extra effort and time - and frustratingly it's often more expensive - but the rewards are many. Try it, you might get to love it! 🌲🌊🚉⛴🚶🏻‍♀️
That's my two meetings done. I used a 7-day @interraileu.bsky.social pass that I bought on offer, and with all the seat reservations it cost me only about £400 for this massive loop. It helps to have some family along the way, and needed two extra nights of hotels too.
