Mashed potatoes are a dip, and they can improve any lackluster thanksgiving food

Ended up finding some good stuff at Target, so our outing was a success. Now to the in-laws for round 2 of Thanksgiving before snowpocalypse
My first time since 2018, and I’m disappointed. Just look at those empty parking spaces. We walked the whole store and got checked out in half an hour. I used to stand in line for longer than that.
It's 6:15an and I'm here. Let's see how thus shopping thing is.

For reference, I don't think I've literally ever been shopping early on Black Friday morning.

This reminds me… did @maureenjohnsonbooks.com ever successfully sneak into @johngreensbluesky.bsky.social’s office to steal the lifesize cutout?

Going to tell my family I liked the Turkish wheat casserole today.

Thanks to the impending snowpocalypse over the weekend, our travel got moved to tomorrow, so I won’t be responsible for making a meal tomorrow. Seeing all the “getting things ready” skeets I’ve seen tonight, I guess I’m grateful for that.

Convinced my kid that is starting to skip naps that he still needs time alone in his room to play during his normal nap time. This is my parenting win of the month

Year 3 of Trick or Treating with the young one: I came properly prepared and enjoyed the experience.
Pro tip: a costume that can be added on top of a coat or just a tshirt depending on the situation. High-vis vest for my little construction worker was a huge win

Every desk chair I’ve ever used for extended periods has made my back hurt. It’s either user error or buying cheap chairs.
What help/ advice can you offer me, Blue Sky?

You guys, so many Romance girlies are reading "On Tyranny" that they've broken the Goodreads recommendations algorithm. 10/10; no notes.

I want a place to exist where people will help adults learn things that most people learned as kids. How to do a cart wheel, play a musical instrument, etc

I will never get over the fact that I got my 4 year old to like broccoli just by telling him it was sometimes crunchy and could be dipped in ranch. He used to refuse green jello because he didn’t trust any green foods.
