I’m Winter, aka Winwin, a narrative professional in the game industry. Most recently, I was Narrative Director for Cryptic Studios, where I wrote and guided story for our roster of titles while also building a brand new IP with a brilliant team.

In a short span of time, I’ve lost two very dear friends: game industry legends @burgerbecky.bsky.social and @dark-towers-mom.bsky.social.
It seems like just yesterday they were visiting my apartment and helping care for me after surgical complications.
I will love you both always.

Two months ago, I cut off nearly two feet of hair to address chronic migraines. I was devastated to do so, which led to me keeping a small braid at full length. Essentially, I was worried I’d look less feminine.
I cut off that small, waist-length braid today. Finally accepting my shorter hair. 💖

I was initially resistant to watching the movie Sinners because I find the vampire genre in general to be incredibly tired.
Well, I sit pleasantly corrected on that notion. It is a painstakingly crafted piece of art with a lot to say.
