Truth still matters. Democracy is still worth fighting for. Our children’s lives are still the compass by which all moral decisions are oriented.

And when all else fails, trees and art and birds and bikes and bacteria will carry us through.

Here is the playbook for resisting trumpism:
1. State facts.
2. State values. Say when things are wrong.
3. Tie it all back to trump.
4. Remember what their goal is: mass transfer of wealth from working Americans to the elites. From the 99.9% to the 0.1%. Solidifying oligarchy.

Details below.
“Serbia's parliament has passed a law which paves the way for a controversial property development led by US President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner in the capital Belgrade.”

The corruption of the Trump family just won’t quit. Bullying for profit.

Oregon’s Ben Gutman killed it.

But why in the world did they have Neal Katyal argue this case instead of the lawyers for the conservative group that joined the brief? What a missed opportunity to have the conservative argument against tariffs go before SCOTUS.

In short:

Trumpflation continues to cause grocery prices to skyrocket. Meaning grocery budgets are already stretched.

His Republican government shutdown rips away SNAP from millions of us who rely on it.

All while he hands $40 billion to Argentina and spends millions renovating the White House.

Thank you, Canada, and thank you, vaccines, for saving so many lives.
Today is World Polio Day.
Decades ago, polio outbreaks caused fear for Canadians. Both Joni Mitchell and Neil Young had polio.
Canada played a huge role in creating the polio vaccine that saved millions.
This is the story of Canada and the fight against polio.

People will go hungry and people will lose their homes and people will die because of the Republican budget and the Republican government shutdown.

Remember that every time a Republican claims to be pro-life. They chose to let people go hungry.

(While their boss wasted millions on WH remodels.)
With millions at risk of losing SNAP in the coming days, a reminder: hunger doesn't happen in isolation. When food assistance disappears, families use rent money to eat. Then come evictions and homelessness.

Housing, food, healthcare—it's all connected. Cut one thread and the whole thing unravels.

Just a reminder that Trump led an actual insurrection against the US government in January 6, 2021.

All of his blather about protests and peaceful marches being like an insurrection is a smokescreen to minimize his culpability and to make the words meaningless.

Stunning abuse of authority.

Using humans who chose to serve as pawns.

Spitting in the face of a judge’s ruling that his plans were illegal. (A Trump-appointed federal judge, remember!)

Turning a healthy US city into a military training ground - it’s sick.

At this moment, with federal agents invading US cities and trump backing brutal wars abroad, it is no historical sideline event that the regime is mislabeling a MASSACRE as a BATTLE. Labeling helpless people a violent enemy is pre-justification for violence against them.
