1) On 15 Nov. A police car came to the agriturismo and escorted me all the way to Maglie glie where the mayor and a crowd of citizens welcomed the donkey and me. Then we all headed to Aldo Moros birth house. In a few meters my journey would end and I wont' no longer be a pilgrim.

I came near to my final destination: Maglie. But they let me know that I was not allowed to enter the city. Not until sunday, so they could prepare the event. I was hosted in an Agriturismo at 10 km until then. There, in my tiny room, watching italian TV, I heard about the terror attacks in Paris

Passing trough Corigliano, we slowlmy approached Maglie. I slept in wonderful masserias, even in a bed once occupied by F. Cossiga. History was all around as I melted with my body and soul into the deep core of an ancestral world and culture.

Most of the northern part of Puglia is lonley flat fields, with endless straight roads. A lot of towns even have a bad reputation. I knew that when we finally would reach Salento, things would change.
