I guess I'm on bluesky now.

Here's some of the work I've been doing looking at the Alaska State Legislature. 30yrs of looks available at willmuldoon.com/RCVAR

Looking to share some analysis and tools with the Alaskan homies.

#akleg I like @matt.akmemo.com's summary of the Dunleavy fiscal plan.

This is why Dunleavy gave a shout out to his "detractors" in the state-of-the-state address. They're such keen observers. Best detractors.

We're close to the summit. Just dialing in the LLM figuring out who exactly is saying what.

When it finishes, it'll output a list of suggestions that I then review and approve/modify/reject.

If the names are committed, the Ai then tags all speakers and summarizes the meeting.

Finished the refactoring last night.

The old proof of concept at akleg.willmuldoon.com will be replaced tonight-ish.

Both back and front ends are getting big updates with a new DB schema.

Now targeting speaker globals on 3NF semantically indexed data by March.

Moving the needle:

Got utterance persistence dialed in. Now I can know exactly when each word is said on record in the #akleg.

Going to try and resuscitate the BASIS scaffolding so that we can auto-assign members on record.

Refactoring the diarization pipeline into its own application.

Trying to manage the pipeline inside of an already developed app just fucked dependencies and gave me a mess to decouple.

I'm having a blast. Learning the concepts changes some of how I think about what people say and how we store it.

Good news: I've got diarization transcriptioning tied into the BASIS meeting queue. the robot can now identify all legislators in every meeting and will spell and address them correctly.

Bad news: if citizens get reprimanded by the chair, the robot gives them a biblical first name.

Ah well.

My 'clever' idea of using BASIS Committee Member info to replace name mispellings didn't work.

So we're re-transcribing with word alignment and diarization and indexing all legislators by voice so we have better inputs.

Now testing batch processing entire legislative sessions for transcription and summarization.

The Legislature gave the Governor time to whip votes against the veto override so now the vote is ten hours before his State of the State?

Can't keep this energy for 90-170 days.

90 seconds to find/process/transcribe/summarize/publish an #akleg legislative meeting.

No external dependencies, no cloud calls or API usage, aside from a single HTTP GET to the Bill and Statute Information System.

100% local pipeline running on a 7800x3d/5070Ti.

I'll be publishing a transcripts, summaries and some other goodies for every #akleg cmte hearing and legislative action this year.

See you Next Tuesday.

LMFAO.

We don't know each other well enough for you to make statements about me publicly like that.

I'd strongly encourage you to stop and reflect on what you're doing before we proceed. Shut the fuck up, Respectfully.

Don't tell lies about me and I'll tell no truths about you.
To be a bit more specific, Mary Peltola supports reproductive freedom and Dan Sullivan does not. that may not be an important issue to you, but it is for a lot of Alaskans.

Ivan,

Respectfully, Shut the fuck up.
Did you know Alaskans abroad can vote? It’s true!

This has come up a lot. We're team Mary!

Shoshanah is an eagle-eyed Alaskan (living in Mexico, as do various species of eagle.) campaigning for Pelota who spotted this.

I've created the Alaskans Abroad (in Mexico) for Mary Peltola to help.

Our website, DontSleepOnAlaska.com will be live shortly!

This is what was getting posted about Kamala in August of 2024.

Would be a solid bit tbh.
So apparently Dan Sullivan--with a personal net worth north of $5M and the backing of the Republican aristocracy & whole oil industry--is positioning himself as some kind financial underdog to Mary Peltola? Bruh I've eaten dry Lucky Charms with Mary in Bethel & organized totes under Visqueen GTFOH 😂

I've been playing w/ OpenXR/MPC/local LLM dev. Sending Flight Simulator data to the LLM, but my GPU struggles with that and VR.

But I learned that people modded Skyrim VR for access. Which I can refactor into my own codebase...

But now I've learned the Russians somehow did this for MORROWIND.

This was really cool to see last night. It was as if astigmatism were a superpower. these photos do a great job of capturing the 3d map pin feeling of them.
Some of the most intense and vivid light pillars I've seen on the south side of Fairbanks tonight! I took a few more photos: photos.lwpetersen.com/Recent-Photos

While I'm not terribly sold on renaming Pioneer Park to "dont spend divert the funding from the museum funding", I'm super interested in knowing more about the gorilla exhibit.
December 18, 2025 at 7:57 AM
2300 days ago I built a bunch of visualizations and joined 57 Excel sheets in a database to give testimony about the need for Alaskans to not only access, but truly understand their data.

Just formally accepted that responsibility, for the homies.
