Deciding how to bust display motion blur? BFI? Strobing? CRT? Framegen? Organic? Etc?

Users choose!

William writes about blur busting methods including flicker-based (BFI, CRT, strobing) and flickerless (framerate-based, framegen-based, etc)

I just published an article on Blur Busters comparing flicker and frame generation and when to use them.

The article dives into film multi-projection, FPGA video processing, and all the many different flavors of lightweight to high performance interpolation.

Let me know which solutions you prefer.

I'm happy to share that my temporal upscaling and interpolation app, Vint, now supports CRT beam scanning emulation based on @blurbusters.com/crt.

CRT emulation allows any arbitrary video to strobed with less flicker than simple BFI.

Vint is now on Steam: store.steampowered.com/app/3448910/...
CRT Simulation in a GPU Shader, Looks Better Than BFI
Who Is this for? CRT Enthusiasts, software & hardware developers, emulator authors, all of who wish to reduce display motion blur of 60 years of legacy 60fps 60Hz content with softer flicker than BFI....

My interpolation and temporal upscaling app, Vint, is now listed on Steam

Vint is focused on improving the temporal fidelity of any video you throw at it.

The release and further information about new features will be coming in the next few weeks.

Let me know what features you want to see.

Now a couple of years after I experimented with it in my pathtracing application it's great to see mouse based desktop pancake reprojection being implemented in the Nvidia's reflex 2 API.
