A significant portion of this article is exactly what we’ve been doing at the Co-operative Party with our Community Britain work.

While life has undoubtedly become more challenging for Britons since 2010, communities have never stopped delivering. They’re working harder than ever.
New post just out:

"Power to the People"

Today we have a guest post from @jamestplunkett.bsky.social on how Labour can counter the "Britain is Broken" narrative by investing in civic life and giving people more control over their community.

Instagram’s content acceleration algorithm is wild. You have one bit of mildly successful engagement and all the content they’ve been hiding from feeds starts pinging off with likes and views. Just serve it the first time!

All the 2016 nostalgia has got us thinking about how far we’ve come in ten years.

From doing the essential campaigning work of opposition, to putting co-operation firmly on the agenda in government.

what I am learning from this Jenrick speech is that his social media content producer must spend a lot of time In The Suite

an excoriating record of the Government that Jenrick was a part of here

Truly Bluesky is a different world. For example, you all seem to use this word “Keminaissance” which I, with a healthy mind, have never once parsed

“The British public are tired of political psychodrama,” says Kemi Badenoch, as she unleashes as HUGE amount of political psychodrama.

Another excellent example from the other day where she's so fixated on owning Keir that she endorses EU membership.

🚨 There's over 400 Labour and Co-operative candidates ready to contest this year's Local Elections - but we're not stopping here.

If you're a Co-operative Party member thinking of standing as a Labour candidate, why not stand as a joint candidate? 🌹🐝

Owned by the community and run for the community - that should be the future for pubs everywhere.

We visited the UK's first community-run pub with Labour MP @alistrathern.bsky.social 🍻

As a certified John Lydon hater I am very upset by how good the Public Image Ltd needle drop in Marty Supreme was.

Official government accounts should not be posting on Twitter, for the same reasons that they don’t post on 4chan or kiwifarms.
This does seem just a little bit bad! Idk the sort of thing you’d think politicians might distance themselves from or something!

Anticipating a pretty big dip from X/Twitter as leadership there totally fails to deal with the proliferation of illegal and immoral image generation - right when people are making New Year’s resolutions and digital burnout is only just settling down.

my dad’s first photojournalism was in the Daily Mirror - now, from our visit with Ali Strathern, i am bafflingly following in his footsteps www.mirror.co.uk/news/politic...
Pubs should be 'community owned to help them thrive and survive'
Labour MP Alistair Strathern made the case while on a visit to the UK’s first community-owned pub, the Red Lion in Preston, Hitchin, which almost became a steakhouse chain

one of my favourite things about being at home is the church in our village. with its oldest parts set up in 1200, the main tower was built after the plague and the fire of London in the first Annus Mirabilis- 1666. that number is set in stone on the tower’s wall.

Even by my low expectations for Kemi Badenoch ‘violence against women and girls is something done by immigrants and nobody else’ has shocked me.
Dog-whistle and factually incorrect. Ladies, raise your hand if you were sexually assaulted by a boy at school? I’d wager this or a family member is most women’s first experience of sexual violence

Lisa Nandy has said the BBC must remain independent, accountable, commanding public trust - and that it must reflect the whole of the UK, drive economic growth and be sustainably and fairly funded.

We agree. That's why we're calling for the BBC to be mutualised.
