LA CHIMERA - never have I wanted so desperately to vibe with a film and been so deeply put off by it. I think it’s oblique and precocious as opposed to mythic and strange. I don’t think Rohrwacher has any sense of uncanniness that she is reaching for here.

Sort of loved GLADIATOR II, in a field of non-descript and flavourless mega-budget busters I would rather see Ridley in not-quite-god-tier mode, as opposed to whatever the hell Chris Evans and The Rock have landed on as their next starring vehicle.
