This morning we were very busy giving our baby dolls a much needed bath. This activity extends beyond just sensory exploration -- we also got to use our imaginations as well as practice turn taking and communication. #ece #earlylearning #playfullearning

One of my little pals is exploring translucent colored teddy bears on the light board this morning. He has been engaged for almost 20 minutes ❤️ #ece #playfullearning

We've been finding some amazing #FisherPrice treasures at the thrift store lately. This little record player has been a big interest for the kids this morning 🎶

I really like to buy toys secondhand when possible because it keeps them out of the landfill and gives them a second chance to be loved.

Not all germs are bad! Good bacteria help kids grow strong, but viruses like RSV, flu, & COVID attack the body & can cause long-term harm. Keep the baddies away with these helpful tips! #HealthyKids #GermFacts #RSV #Flu #COVID19

The kids were so excited to decorate cookies after lunch yesterday. We used icing and different kinds of sprinkles to make our own unique designs 🎄❄️

Last night I got a message from someone outside our community who found Wildlings Kinder Garden while searching for COVID-safe childcare in their area. Knowing our efforts to create a safe, inclusive space are recognized means so much! #COVIDSafe #InclusiveChildcare #WildlingsKinderGarden

I attended an online workshop by the Region of #Waterloo, led by Shel Secrett, focused on #RainbowFamilies ( #2SLGBTQIA+ ). We explored diverse books and strategies to foster inclusivity. It emphasized creating safe spaces, supporting families, & promoting belonging & understanding ❤️ #earlylearning

The children are starting to get excited for Christmas, so of course we had to expand on that interest by creating some art. These are Christmas trees made from cedar branches 🎄 #preschoolart #homedaycare #toddlerart

Making playdough may seem like such a simple thing but this activity is full of rich learning opportunities. We are building math skills, science skills, and learning to share and participate in a collaborative activity -- and, most importantly, it's fun! #earlylearning #homechildcare #childcare

This little one is building in the block area – they are developing their fine motor skills, hand eye coordination, and early spatial awareness skills during this type of play. They are also exploring problem solving as they figure out how to put the pieces together. #earlylearning #childcare

I definitely used to be tremendously misinformed, likely due to where I grew up (very small town, very conservative). I've done a lot of learning and unlearning in my 41 years on this planet and I hope that I can keep expanding my knowledge every day until I go back to the soil 🌱

Transporting items from one place to the next is a big interest in my program. So, needless to say, this cart has been a really big hit 🙂

I found this amazing walker toy at the thrift shop today -- it definitely needed some cleaning but after a wipe down and a bit of sanitizing it's going to be great fun for my littles who are just learning to walk and the kiddos who are exploring the #schema of transportation ❤️
