They're not interested in finding the facts, and they're definitely not interested in publicly admitting to what they find. Schools always, always care more about lawsuits from abusers that have been fired than the harm done to victims, even when a swift firing can prevent more abuse.

Word to the wise: when schools say they're "launching an investigation" into faculty/staff wrongdoing, what they're actually doing is gathering evidence to try to protect themselves from lawsuits. When have we ever seen the full results of these investigations?

it definitely shows why schools like Harvard hated Title IX improvements designed to actually prevent and properly respond to sexual violence.
Could argue the misogyny Summers expressed both publicly while president of Harvard and in emails to Epstein says more about the culture at our most elite institutions than any of the frontpage freakouts over academia in the past few years but hey

Obviously Katie Wilson will not live to all her promises (politicians by definition cannot) but as long as she doesn't tear gas gay people or threaten to shoot people who are 8 months pregnant she'll automatically be like the best mayor in recent history.
