Windsurf pro tip:

-/ Use 3.7 (thinking) for writing
-/ Use 3.7 or 3.5 for chatting

You can thank me later.

Enjoy the vibe! 🕺

1/ There were times in my indie journey when I just wanted to give up.

– Customers churn
– Fraud and abuse
– Little to no conversion
– You name it

First time founders start with code.

Second time founders start with potential customers + landing page + etc.

Marketing, marketing, marketing.

Despite the greatness of Next.js and Astro, has any of you built and maintained a landing page that's built with Vite and React? What are the downsides?

I'm considering detangling the stack from the ever-changing JS ecosystem here.

Use 3.7 for architecting and/or implementing a feature.

Use 3.5 for focused tasks.

Now we have a superteam of engineers.

And guess what?

You are now getting promoted to be the CTO.

Is it just me?

I tried the same prompt in Claude Sonnet 3.7 and OpenAI o3-mini-high for a simple design decision in React code.

Claude Sonnet 3.7 decided to follow the design convention, but it followed the code that I've commented out.

Anyone still documenting indie-making journey on blog or newsletter? I miss a good ol' writing that's free from algorithm-pleasing notions. Am I getting old? 😅

These days are crazy.

– Endless customer support
– Tool launches
– etc

One thing for sure, doing SaaS is freakin’ hard!

Now trying to get calm while watching the fire around me.

P.S. I feel bad when I miss your important update. Send me one?

We didn't make it to the top 3, but that's okay!

Thank you for your support for this little tool. If you happen to make something cool with it, please don't be hesitant to tell me 😉

Cheers! 🥂

Climbed to the 4th place, thanks to @poppacalypse.bsky.social 🎉🫶

Can we get to the 3rd place? 🤞
February 18, 2025 at 4:56 AM
Makers, I need your help 🙏

Currently Markdown to email is at the 5th place and a few votes away to climb up.

My goal is to reach the top 3 (am I asking too much? 🥲).

Please do your magic! 🪄

I went crazy and restarted my mac, only to find out that ChatGPT was down 🥲 Turns out it's not our fault yo!

I had an interesting conversation with a potential competitor—yes, you read it right: competitor—about whether or not he can make money by copying Lavish. Here is the most important part 👇

If you are bullish about email marketing, don't hold yourself back and start shipping!

Happy Lunar New Year – Gōng xǐ fā cái 🧧🎉🐍
January 28, 2025 at 5:20 PM
I still don’t get the DeepSeek R1 hype – people canceling their ChatGPT or Claude subscriptions.

The chat didn’t work 99% of the time for me. When it worked, I had to click “continue” a couple of times.

Time to get back to work 🙂

There are always things that need to be added, especially nearning the launch day.

Suddenly my Trello cards are filled with improvements, improvements, and improvements.

Time to destroy all those cards? 🔫
January 23, 2025 at 2:04 PM
I have been working on Lavish around 3 months, but I realized I haven't launched it on product discovery platforms like
PH.

Well, I also heard horrible stories from indies that had not been covered.

Is @uneed.best the go-to indie platform for launching these days?
