social media can be such a constant source of social discomfort. takes so much active effort to reframe my mind when the little things hurt. just wish I felt like I knew where I stood with ppl. I presume friendship that only I'm seeing so often

mhm, not saying you shouldn't want to try to reframe ur mind or do better -- i just really hate seeing those posts around that rly demonize it as if its Problematic Behaviour when its just ppl being socially awkward. cheeses me right off.

like obviously there's times where it can be inappropriate but acting like it's a social taboo to ever talk about your own experiences or interests is wack as hell. it's just not how relationships work.
anyway. try not to get too insecure about it. ppl are just generalising jerks

tbh it pisses me off when ppl are rude about this kind of communication style bc it's ascribing some self centeredness or malice when it's just how ppl relate to one another.
