I think one of my favorite things about TWIN PEAKS: THE RETURN is how it implies that the world has slowly degraded in the 25 years of Cooper’s absence. By extension I think Lynch is also arguing how the lack of good people willing to stand up for what’s right has landed us in a right proper mess.
