Among pts hospitalized with AKI, recommendations from a Kidney Action Team did not significantly prevent the composite outcome of worsening AKI stage, dialysis, or mortality, despite a higher rate of recommendation in the intervention group.

Brilliant by the awesome Margaret McCartney. It seems to me there is a widespread brief in “prevention” which is really early detection. This belief is often wrong, and whether to screen is usually a difficult call. Fund and support the National Screening Committee. Listen to experts.
