#bees
For the first time in global legal history, a country has recognized the legal rights of insects, and it is the stingless bees of the Peruvian Amazon that are taking the first step toward a new model ...
Peru just made history: stingless bees in the Amazon now have legal rights, letting communities sue to defend hives and habitat.

ABC: Do you still have confidence in Pam Bondi as AG?

MASSIE: I don't think Pam Bondi has confidence in Pam Bondi. She wasn't confident enough to engage in anything but name calling in a hearing. So no, I don't. She was responsible for the document production.

This case raises an unsettling question: how many other incidents have gone unseen? Given ICE’s recent conduct, it’s reasonable to ask whether accountability would have happened at all absent video evidence.

Court rebukes Trump administration for denying immigration detainees access to lawyers

Rep. Angie Craig: "The attacks on Black and brown people in Minnesota have been egregious. At the end of the day, what they wanted out of Minnesota was for us to riot. I think this will go down in American history as one of the greatest examples of peaceful resistance from an entire community."

Trump is saying that he will disregard Congress and issue an Excutive order that will violate the Constitution.

Here is my promise: If he does that, we will sue and we will win. Just like we did the last time. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...
Trump: ‘There will be Voter I.D. for the Midterm Elections, whether approved by Congress or not!’
"I have searched the depths of Legal Arguments not yet articulated or vetted on this subject, and will be presenting an irrefutable one in the very near future," wrote Trump, who is not a lawyer.

New @ms.now: Two ICE officers are under a criminal investigation into whether they lied under oath about the shooting of a migrant in Minneapolis last month.

It's ANOTHER example of a radical about-face by DHS — Kristi Noem previously called this an “attempted murder of federal law enforcement."
DOJ investigating whether ICE officers lied about migrant’s shooting
The news comes a day after the government moved to dismiss charges accusing the man of assaulting a federal officer.

Sort of gives away the lie that they're arresting hardened criminals who are drags on society when they're setting up traps to lure in Good Samaritans
CCTV footage appears to show DHS agents posing as people having car trouble in order to lure a target out of his house before arresting them. The target comes out and starts helping them before 3 vehicles surround the scene. The car "experiencing" trouble then drives off with them.

Raskin: What makes somebody a good lawyer?

You have to identify with the people who are the victims of injustice — not with their perpetrators.

So I would say to Pam Bondi: If you’re going to stand with the victimizers and not the victims, then you’re not a real lawyer.
