The conservation world lost one of its guiding lights on Wednesday when renowned primatologist Jane Goodall passed away at 91.

Over 65 years studying chimpanzees in the wild, Goodall proved that primates are a lot like people. But her impact goes far beyond chimps. 🧵

Might be time for @merriam-webster.com to remind us all that shutdown = noun; shut down = verb.

I went to Van Nuys High, where Robert Redford went, and I used to look through the archives during yearbook class to find his old pics. Didn't completely grasp his heartthrob status until then.

My favorite quote of today came from Jane Fonda: He stood for an America we have to keep fighting for.

In the 11th hr, @cagov.bsky.social put a poison pill in the CA budget to eviscerate the state's premier environmental protection law. The @biologicaldiversity.org believes protections for wildlife & frontline communities are important. If you agree, tell your representatives to oppose the budget.
