So we were pretty sure this cone would contain her. NOPE.

Woke up this morning & she had puked in the crate & then eaten the puke. 🤢 How? There is like 3 inches between the end of her nose and the edge of the cone!

(Apparently she can get 3 inches of ruff compression if she tries??? 🤨)
Very large ruff. Very large cone. Very smol doggo under there. Wish us luck tonight.

unrepentant doggo at the vet's office where we tried many sizes on her in an attempt to find one that she couldn't just shove into her fur ruff & eat kibbles off the floor in

Because it's just a great morning over here, Tallie got her cone off overnight (How??!?) and spent the night licking the stitches on her paw. 😭
She is totally unrepentant. Look at this, snoozling away with no cares while I text photos to the vet and freak out.

WA State lawyer things: Hotel Murano in Tacoma keeps putting ads in my Insta stories. 😖😱

bc if you take the WA State Bar, it's held @ Tacoma Convention Center, & most people - me included- stay at the Hotel Murano.
Yes, I would like to be reminded of the 2 most stressful nights of my life, thx.😣

Last year I read 101 books. I'm at 75 with 6 weeks left to 2025 right now. 🫣

(still doing way better than the years in law school, when I averaged about 30. Obviously not counting casebooks/study guides/other boring school reading.)

Poor Tallie had to have follow up surgery on her paw after the one we had in June. She's definitely on the good drugs but send her all the ear scritches & good luck 💙

SEATTLE!!!

We’ve now taken the lead by 91 votes! 🤯 This thing is certainly not over! Over 1,000 ballots have been challenged, so if you haven’t tracked your ballot yet get on it! Our trusty volunteers have been working hard to "cure" ballots so they count! We're so close!

What’s that? We haven’t had a Tallie’s Butt automated album update in a while? Well we do now and it’s a good one. I present to you… the front half of Tallie, dropped into the “Tallie’s Butt” smart label album by our AI overlords

So this will sound silly, but Tallie *never* causes trouble at home. She is an angel. Tonight, we got home from nosework training, and she found this piece of paper that had been used as padding in a package and decided to.... steal and shred it?! I was laughing too much to yell at her.

We're officially at the point in November where my raincoats (please note plural here!) aren't drying out before the next dog walk and I have to decide which is least damp and annoying to put on. ☔
Have a damp Tallie-as-a-puppy-her-first-Seattle-November while we get drenched again:

I know we're in the last days of all the dahlias in our neighborhood, but they were so lovely on our afternoon walk! And a bonus "paws up" on a staircase as another doggo walked by us on the sidewalk.*

New incredible detail here: ICE says a match in its facial recognition app Mobile Fortify is a "definitive" determination of a person's status, and that this overrides birth certificates. This is an app ICE is using in the field to scan people
