Wondering how our MP Peter Prinsley voted in the debate?

He voted FOR assisted suicide.

I was a little surprised as I was thinking of the hypocritical oath...

What do you think?

Today is the feast of Saint Edmund Martyr, one of the saints I have spent much time researching these past ten years. For the occasion, here is a page from the oldest surviving copy of the Passio Eadmundi (c.1070).

It should be a holiday,as he was and still is a truly English Saint. St George was pure Norman propaganda, to establish another Norman narrative on a conquered Saxon people. The battle flag of the Saxons was a sea Dragon. Which can also be seen laying on the ground in the Norman tapestry.

That clean, quiet, antiquated town, that always puts me in mind of an old maid dressed for a party; that slowest and dreariest of boroughs, where the streets are as full of grass as an acre of pasture land, & the inhabitants are driven to ring their own door-bells lest they should rust from disuse

Workfare 1.0:

The prison treadwheel was introduced in 1818 by the British engineer Sir William Cubitt as a means of usefully occupying convicts in the prisons at Bury St Edmunds and Brixton. It was intended to be pointless and to punish; straps and weights provided resistance to the motion.
