In Year 6/5C, we have been investigating how a birds beaks adapt to suit their environment using different implements to investigate how much ‘food’ we can pick up in a given amount of time 🐦

Year 4/3 have been predicting whether bulbs will light in a circuit depending on the components used. Once the children made their predictions, they used the practical equipment to construct the different circuits and see if their predictions were correct! #ScienceatWelbeck

Year 4/3 started their week by looking at real life leaflets to find their features. The children discovered lots and realised that they contain plenty of facts as well as aiming to persuade the audience to do something! #EnglishatWelbeck

This week in Year 3 science club, we made doodlebots using a motor circuit and propellers to create movement, making the pens on the cup wobble and draw. The children were thrilled with the pictures from their bots! 🤖 #ScienceatWelbeck

It’s #worldnurseryrhymeweek and the Nursery children have had fun exploring their favourite songs and rhymes. We decided Insey Wincey Spider was our favourite. We draw chalk spiders, sang with our friends and made a giant web in the garden! #EYFSatWelbeck

Today Y4/3 began their 'City at Night' paintings. We started by drawing the buildings and adding colourful lights with oil pastels. We will use a wax resist technique to make the lights stand out. We can't wait to see the finished results ! #ArtatWelbeck
