Practicing for tomorrow's turkey 🍗

Wolves are carnivores + with 42 teeth, just like dogs, they're more than equipped to eat whole carcass meals. Incisors and carnassials tear meat off of the bone + molars grind.

A typical meal for Silas could be a deer leg, chicken, or even a turkey!

Weird Creature of the Day: Red Triangle Slug

Today we're checking out Triboniophorus graeffei!
Closeup shot of a red triangle slug. This individual is pinkish-beige. Its two tentacles at the front of its body are fully extended towards the camera. The deep red triangle marking on its back and deep red edge marking on its foot are very clear. The light shines brightly off its moist body. The slug is laying on some dark green leaves. A pale yellow slug with a dark red triangle marking on its back. The slug has somewhat flattened its body and is curving itself up towards the top of the photo. Its two front tentacles are partially withdrawn but still clearly distinguishable. The leaf-like vein characteristic of its species is very clear. This slug is sitting on a brown tree branch among some twigs. Two red triangle slugs, photographed at night. They have both elongated their bodies as they move towards some mossy greenery at the top of the image. The slug on the left is a bright, almost golden yellow with a dark red triangle mark on its back. Its head is touching the middle of the slug to its right. The right slug is a rich, bright red. This slug's red triangle mark is harder to distinguish from its main body but still visible. The light from the camera highlights the lumpy texture and moistness of their bodies.

Weird Creature of the Day: Axolotl

Starting off strong with one of the world's most special amphibians, Ambystoma mexicanum!
