I’m just a guy that builds stuff for the web.
My new favorite for frontend testing: Copilot + Playwright MCP. Excellent for running/monitoring UI tests with detailed logs, code references, screenshots, and test playbacks. Makes implementing fixes faster and easier.

My kids kept saying, "I'm bored!" or "I don't know what to do!"—so I built a quick app to fix that.

Press a button (or spacebar), and it suggests a random activity! The list is weighted for better control over what pops up.

The code is open-source if you wanna check it out: bit.ly/3F0VuP2

Every day I’m tempted more and more to invest everything into creating web apps, services, plugins, etc to support content creators; specifically around video games.

You all need better tools to be more successful and to make your life easier.

Currently traveling so I changed all my themes to ‘Light’ so I can see (darn sun). I’ll forget I did this when I log in Monday morning.

I obviously haven't gone through this in great detail, but at the high level there appear to be some fantastic resources.

After the holidays—or any stretch of extended social time—my body and mind just crash. I’m counting down to when the kids are in bed so I can crawl under the covers and reset. Gotta recharge before the New Year hits!

Image alt text should be a requirement and with GPT it's easier than ever.

I would love to see AI alt text generation embedded in the "attach/take image" user flow on social sites.

1) Attach image
2) AI generated alt text review and editor
3) Post

Skip #2? You get the default AI description.

A new book for Christmas break

"What do you use your stream deck for when all you do is meet on video calls for work?"

So I can activate Christmas mode in my office. Starts my Christmas playlist and starts the scenes for my shelf, desk, and ceiling lights.

The joy it brings me to annoy some team members with this...priceless

This is peek development…using ms paint to plan/outline nested object hierarchy. Today’s “fun” was creating a service that converts excel files that document process workflows into a structured format.

Friends, please don’t let friends use excel for documentation.

This is gorgeous!
One of my favourite UI patterns is using `backdrop-filter` to create a “frosted glass” effect.

When I see this effect in the wild, though, it’s almost never as lush and realistic as it could be. There’s an important optimization that nobody makes.

✨ I share the secret sauce in my brand-new post:
Next-level frosted glass with backdrop-filter • Josh W. Comeau
Glassy headers have become a core part of the “slick startup” UI toolkit, but they’re all missing that final 10% that really makes it shine. In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to create the most reali...
