My job has been using Palantir AI software to write the schedule. Some nights every single nurse is scheduled. Other nights it thinks one nurse can handle the entire ER. The wildest part for me is that when it messes up, everyone just sort of shrugs and says, "it's AI, can't do anything about it."
The only reason Palantir software is hard to abuse is that much of it is horseshit "AI features" that don't work at all, and most of the rest of it are basic database search features that also don't work at all.

Just curious what do you think DHS is going to do with all those ice agents once all the immigrants are rounded up? Massive layoffs? Doubtful. They will just turn their attention to another group that they have decided to demonize and they will go down the list until they get to you. Bet on it

Here's the thing I'll add to this: if they get away with this, do you really think they'll stop at "democratic" cities? Nope, they're coming to every city eventually. We can't let them do this. If LA, DC and Portland aren't safe from martial law, nobody is safe.

I thought I was okay, I went to #bjj to try to burn off my rage the way I do, maybe I'd have been chill but on the way home I saw a #cybertruck and found myself screaming, "fucking Nazi!" As I leaned out the window with my middle finger up. What am I going to do?

When little old ladies are done using the bathroom and washing their hands, they use the paper towel/clean piece of toilet paper to wipe down the sink. Having a clean sink is easy. I wonder what other tricks they have for keeping their houses clean. These are things you learn when you're a nurse.

As a kid in the 80s in Central #Minnesota, we'd wake up really early on Saturdays to watch cartoons. The official TV day always started with the #nationalanthem, but in my memory, there was a final line of the song, "America wants no more war." Did I dream that up? Does anyone else remember that?

The wonderful thing about language is that it is ultimately arbitrary- if we all start using the word "Grok" to mean a "sad worthless narcisitic racist who buys companies only to drive them into the ground and whose kids don't even want to talk to him" then that is what the meaning of Grok becomes.
There are a lot of things that annoy me about that fascist idiot, but one of the little ones is that he keeps saying that “grok” comes from Hitchhiker’s Guide.

The wonderful thing about language is that it is ultimately arbitrary- if we all start using the word "Grok" to mean a "sad worthless narcisitic racist who buys companies only to drive them into the ground and whose kids don't even want to talk to him" then that is what the meaning of Grok becomes.
One thing I love and hate about #bjj is that I can build a really solid game around a technique like a crucifix, then my coach has a week where he teaches crucifix and suddenly my entire game sucks. I hate this but also love it because I'm forced to learn something new.

Last year, I made a resolution. By July, I was devastated, but in August, things started to come together. I got a lot farther than I ever dreamed I could in one year, but it took time. If you resolve to do something this year and it hasn't happened by July, keep trying. Change happens slowly.
